Stampin' Up! is very dear to my heart. As much as I love the quality of the products, it's the friendships that have grown with some of the most wonderful women you could ever meet that really keeps me a part of this group. We have that common bond and love of paper crafting that draws us together for fun, sharing ideas, sharing good times, sharing sorrows, and praying for each other through these times. I think we all started out thinking this would be a good way to make some extra income, and it is, but as all of us at our last group meeting concluded, it's the friendships that keep us coming back.
I celebrated 15 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in January of this year and was acknowledged by walking the stage at the OnStage event in San Diego this past April. Fifteen years...time flies when you're having fun was never so true!
With the new Stampin' Up! annual catalog being released on June 1, 2017, I thought this would be a good time to start over with a fresh "new" site. You'll notice I did keep my very first blog post for sentimental reasons, but the rest of them are gone. Yeah, it was a hard thing to do, but I've been wanting to update my blog for quite a while to a cleaner, easier to navigate site. For those of you gasping that all that content is gone, don't worry. I saved all of it in in a Word Doc. So, if there is something you are wanting to see that you know I had, please contact me and I'll try to find it for you.
Originally, I had started this site as a craft blog, then Stampin' Up! had some changes to its demonstrator policies and I had to focus primarily on Stampin' Up! with my blog. So, it will be here where I will continue to post anything related to Stampin' Up!
Why did I remove all of the old posts? Well, although there were lots of good ideas, pretty much all of the product used except for inks and solid color card stock are no longer available and even many of the colors have changed over the years. And, let's face it, ten years is a long time and a lot of the ideas were pretty dated.
I have a new Artful Avocations web site where I will be running my (retirement) crafting business and lifestyle blog for non-stamp related things. It's now www.artfulavocations.com.This Stampin' Up! site is now www.sharonsrivera.com. Artful Avocations Handmade by Sharon S. Rivera is the name of both sites because that is my business name and brand. Go check out the new Artful Avocations web site when you have a chance!
If you've been a loyal follower for the last ten years, thank you! If you are new to my blog, thank you for finding me! I hope you find some inspiration in the ideas and projects that I post and it sparks some creativity in you.
